Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action

KMJ can review all aspects of a company’s employment, compensation and day-to-day management practices to assure full compliance with State and Federal Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. In addition, KMJ can prepare and administer Affirmative Action Plans required by organizations which have government contracts or which receive government grants.

Every organization must ensure the following:

  • EEO-1 submissions, as required, are prepared in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • All internal and external recruiting and selection activities, as well as other practices, are conducted in a non-discriminatory fashion in full compliance with relevant Federal and State requirements. This includes the use of employment applications and selection tools, such as tests, which assure non-discriminatory decision making.
  • Affirmative Action Plans include thorough and accurate Availability and Utilization Analyses of job categories within an organization, as well as, accurate projected Goals and Timetables for correcting underutilizations of minorities and women.
  • Managers and Supervisors are trained so that they have a full understanding of their responsibilities under the law and with respect to Company Policy to be non-discriminatory.
  • Complaints and discrimination charges are handled in full compliance with the law.
